Hi, I’m Wangui
As part of my Ph.D., I conduct research in the
Computational Design of Therapeutics Lab at Johns Hopkins with the mentorship of Dr. Feilim Mac Gabhann. I create computational models of immune signaling and cell growth in healthy and diseased uterine tissues. Additionally, I am an MIT alumna (B.S., Bioengineering, 2017) and National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow.
See below for more on my Resumes and projects.

Projects
IL-8 Signaling on Neutrophils
We create, parameterize, and analyze a mechanistic model of IL-8 signaling on neutrophils using data from in vitro cell culture experiments. Read more
In Vitro Tools for Probing Hormone Signaling
We built and characterized synthetic genetic sensors to assay estrogen and progesterone signalling, two processes that are often dysregulated or disrupted in endometriosis. Read more
